At
an altitude of 2000 metres and 34 km beyond Dehra Dun, Mussoorie, ahs
been a
popular hill station since it was' discovered" in 1823 by a Captain
Young. There are over 100 hotels jostling for the views across the Dun
Valley to accommodate the hordes of tourists from Delhi in the hot
season. It cab be quite peaceful in the off season and there are good
walks along the mountain ridges.

to See
A
ropeway runs up to Gun Hill. For the early morning views of the Himalaya
including Bandar Punch (6315 metres).
Camel's
Back Road:was built as a promenade and passes a rock formation that
looks like a camel hence the name.
Kulri
Bazaar: With northern views, the Hotel Broadway was a small English
guest house run by a Miss Lee until 1954.
