Day 1 Cochin.
Arrive Cochin airport or railway station
and transfer to the Hotel. Morning free to relax. Afternoon Boat
Cruise through the cantilevered Chinese Fishing Net,
Vypeen & Gundu Island. Visit Bolghatty
Island to see the Bolghatty Palace. While returning take a
breathtaking view
of sunset over the habour. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 2 Cochin to Periyar.
In the morning drive to Periyar (190 kms). On arrival transfer to
the Wildlife Resort. At Periyar one can see wild elephants
and bisons in their natural habitat. Afternoon boat Safari to view
the wildlife.
Day 3 Periyar
Morning take another boat Safari to view wildlife. Also take
a trek into the jungle for birdwatching and wildlife viewing with
naturalist, in the afternoon visit the pepper plantations.
Overnight at the jungle resort.
Day 4 Periyar
to Kumarakom/Alleppey.
In the morning drive to Tanmirmukkam from where a 30 minutes
backwater boat cruise, an unforgetable experience, will take you
to your Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 Kumarakom.
Take a ride through backwaters visiting local villages where daily
life continues, as it has for centuries. You will see lush palm
grooves and rice fields. One may visit the Bird Sanctuary by the
river Kavantigara.
Day 6 Kumarakom to Kovalam.
Morning drive to Kovalam. On arrival transfer to Beach Resort.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 7 Kovalam.
Full day at leisure on the beach of your hotel.
Day 8 Kovalam.
Full day excursion to Kaniyakumari where you can visit Kumari
Amman Temple and Vivekanand Rock Memorial.
Day 9 Leave
Kovalam.
Transfer to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for your onward
journey to next destination
